No photos but...

Today was memorable for 3 reasons:

1. Derek and I got out for a 2 hour ride in the 65 degree weather. On our ride Derek said, "You're killing me today." (referring to my fast speed)

2. Lucy and I went grocery shopping this evening and the fancy King Soopers (I passed 4 other grocery stores to go there because their organic selection surpasses our ghetto KS) has a new set of kids car grocery baskets. If you don't have young kids you probably don't pay attention to these... usually they are colorful cars with a mid sized basket behind the car. This new car was an enclosed car with seatbelt and "locking" doors. Inside the car was a TV screen and up on my basket part of the cart are the controls. I had 3 videos to choose from... Mickey, handy Manny and something else. So I choose Lucy's video and start shopping. This is ingenious b/c within just a few minutes my screen lights up and starts advertising to me. It was annoying but I suffered through for Lucy's enjoyment

3. First 3 year old temper tantrum, body-flailing public spectacle. Yep, I was THAT parent in the checkout line. Lucy was tired and hungry and didn't like the cashier moving her car around. I coaxed her out of the cart by offering a matchbox car ($1) in the toy aisle (what was I thinking?) The only time she wants a matchbox car is when it's the only thing on the shelf. These shelves were FULL of big cars, little cars, trucks, diggers... you name it. Instant melt down ensued. I gently picked her up and grabbed our cart and walked out. She tried to flail out of my arms and onto the parking lot so she could get her point across. I got it. Hope that never happens again. geez.

Derek asked if we had seen the blog yet. Told him don't tell me. Want to read for myself. Thought maybe you got Lucy on video. HA!

"Hope that never happens again." That's funny.
