Lucy is one of the youngest kids in class but it still "hurt" when the teacher told me there were only 3 non-readers in the class and one of them was Lucy. We aren't aggressive teaching parents but I still wondered why she wasn't getting it!? Not Anymore! It obviously had to be Lucy's time and apparently today she decided she was ready! She spelled 3 words for the first time today!! It is a big step, lucy has to recognize and know all 26 letters before she can start. This is huge! I'm sure she will be very eager to move forward every day! Books, here we come!
