Chugga chugga choo choo

I picked Lucy up early from school today and we went to the mall. We rode the $6 choo choo (and, no, I did not tip the driver after we were done thank you).

I just switched to Verizon and HAPPILY spent a lot of $$ on an iphone. Obviously I will be updating the blog more often now as this photo went across like a charm. That darn android phone I had and my T-Mobile service was the pits. Yay!

Our first Amusement Park

So I've been working like a mad women at the casino lately, worked eight 12 hour days in a row. Brutal! I took the last 2 days off as "Lucy" days which were awesome. Yesterday we went to the Lakeside Amusement Park off I70. It's super retro, 100 years old, and everything is dated and cool. They have 13 kiddie rides. On Lucy's 3rd ride she befriended this 5 year old boy named Connor and they proceeded to do every single ride together. Even when they could sit alone they sat together. It was SUPER CUTE!

Today Lucy and Sarah and Copper and I went to the Beach at Bear Creek Lake Park. Unfortunately the Colorado monsoon weather has started and we got a little rained out. We had a fun day, ice cream after it was all said and done to top it off.

I love you LUCY!

Long live Grandpa Walt's Stories

Untitled from lisa strong on Vimeo.

If you were there then you know that Lucy and Walt hung out a little bit in Iowa... and that Walt managed to sneak in his "Rooster Dink Pink" story with this sweet innocent little 3 year old. Are you surprised? Good thing Lucy was focused on her painting and not his story.

This one's for all of us Strongs... long live Walt's stories!

Who needs training wheels?
