Proud parents

After 2 scathing reviews/meetings about our daughter and her poor transition to her new Montessori school, I'm so happy to report that she has turned the corner, she's her happy self in class, she is behaving appropriately and is using the bathroom as needed. Hallelujah!!! Great job Lulu, were so proud and happy for you! Xoxo mommy daddy

Weekend getaway

Lucy and I are jaunting away for the weekend to meet up with my brother, Uncle Cutt Cutt, and Aunt Katie. We are going to see tigers, lions, dolphins, fountains, a pirate show... any ideas where we are heading (if you don't know!)

3 more days away!

September

Where o where has September gone? what a blur! Like I posted on FB, I'm finally done with the big casino job so I thought everything would slow down a little and fall into place. Well, it has on some levels and not on others.

Last weekend I had a booth at my Fall Home Show so now I'm busy following up with people and estimating jobs. It's really a drain having to be on site 75% or more of the time (or clients aren't happy) and having to do all of the back-end stuff for a business. There is just NEVER enough time, especially with a 3 year old at home.

Lucy started Montessori school which means Mommy and Daddy started Montessori school. What an adjustment, this is definitely not daycare/preschool. We are in a REAL school, with a real school calendar and so many things to remember. Here's my Monday AM list to remember:

1. Clean water bottle
2. Extra clothes for the week
3. Nap time bag (clean sheet, pillow & case, blanket, stuffed buddy)
4. Object that starts with a letter of the week (tomorrow it's A)
5. All forms and papers signed with appropriate $$
6. Lunch $$
7. PE shoes for Monday PE

Last Monday was a total meltdown. Right as we showed up one of the Kindergartners from her class came to the hallway and insisted Lucy leave her PE shoes on. You see everything is by choice in Montessori so this over eager little girl says "Lucy, it's your responsibility to remember PE on Mondays (duh, she's only 3, doesn't know Monday from Sunday) and it's YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to wear the right shoes to school... those shoes aren't good PE shoes, Lucy!" Dear god we had a melt down.

I do love Montessori but it's such an adjustment.
