Thanksgiving came and went

It was a good vacation. Everything went smoothly. Turkey fell off the bone and is all gone (thanks to the slow cooker!); I am sure I gained a couple pounds from all the dessert I made; we raced our bikes yesterday and today... nothing too exciting!

I have to ask for forgiveness because Derek lost his real camera and mine is broken (flash doesn't work), so we don't have any great shots of the feast or the weekend. Sarah made me feel real bad for only taking phone shots so I've put that on hold... hence no photo updates lately. Maybe soon I'll take my camera and get it fixed. until then, blame it on Sarah, its easier that way.

We hope all the Iowa folk had a great time, we missed you!

Turkey coming soon

I'm pretty excited about cooking my first Thanksgiving meal, except wait, someone else is cooking the turkey. I was ready to do it all and now everyone is involved. I think I'd rather just do it myself than try and coordinate it all so we'll see how it turns out. By Thursday this table should look pretty good.
